April 6th, as the Womens Film Festival opens, so does Celebration show at the new gallery Fukinsei, N.Orange Street Sarasota. The owner/artist Anna deAugustine–a painter in her own right, with verve and style, showing six of my big works along with her own, Evan Lovejoy, and Elisabeth Stevens. Now onto the Film Festival to get drowned in the Talkies.

I am starting to paint the old fashioned put your face in the hole to become a clown or cowboy or whatever is painted on the board to have your picture taken as a clown, pirate, cowboy or–character yet to be decided. The background for this piece of old fashioned Board Walkerie is thanks to my neighbor David, who transformed a piece of forlorn plywood into magnificently smooth white panel & cut and sanded the holes for the faces,, and Darian, whose truck carried it my studio! This item to be part of the fun at Sapphire Shores Park Sarasota Sun Circle Art Show. Saturday March 2, 2013 ****11Am to 6 PM (stay to watch the Sunset)

Progress Report
I am now just five drawings short of completion for my graphic novel #5 NY ZEN book. I have been working on it for over two years. In it I am talking about the too many topics that are too often avoided....Death, Age...the overarching Hunger for Riches and Fame.
The latest graphic novel, FRIGHTEN THE HORSES,( book of quotes by women for women) , has been delighting people who have been politely ignoring the typhoon of typos that slipped past Editor and Proof reader. Embarrassed, I have decided to toss the typo riddled FRIGHTENs, and print anew. (Any idea for a good use for the rejects?–and don’t say, "use as kindling." That’s mean and anti social and besides all that, stupid.)

Dooz?
The week of
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Inauguration of two term President Obama and
40th Anniversary of Roe vs Wade, a woman’s right to choose
***
I woke up this morning and what did I dooz?
Got up (too early) and put on my shooz.
I swore I wasn’t going to march anymore,
and there was I with a sign in my hand
I STAND
By PLANNED PARENTHOOD
And aint that the Truth!
Disregard Not going to march anymore.
Disregard Nevermore.
Disregard the fires of hell
Speak up Evermore!
O, that was thus spake the raven.
(In garbled tongue)
Psychic bird got my number!
So?!
(I don’t like the way you’re lookin’ at me
Bang, bang. O please, O no no no no no.)
Plus:
Stupidest statement of the month ( by politician whose name I have blessedly forgotten);;;;:
If blacks had been allowed to maintain their guns, slavery might never have happened...

Hello
Greetings Bloggers, I hope you all enjoyed the book of Quotes by women for women–FRIGHTEN THE HORSES. I’ve taken many orders for same and still happy to do so–$15 + postage, cheap at half the price. Half the price, no sirree. Hahaha. That was my daddy’s joke. But he sure was a better business man than I am. Oh, I’m not a business man, I’m a Woman! Keeping that firmly in mind, I put on my morning lipstick and go to work on my fifth graphic novel (graphic in my own style, not comic book). Working title; NY ZEN. NYZ imagizes my view of the American lust for Riches and Fame, the Fear of Death and such other nooses.
